Assign Staff Roles and Permissions

Set up roles for your staff members and assign the appropriate permissions. Roles determine what each staff member can full Access, view any, view, create, update, archive, or delete within the platform. Proper role management ensures security and smooth operation of your sports organization.

Instructions:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Settings > Roles.

  2. Click Add New Role.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

    • Role Name: Enter a clear name for the role (e.g., CoachFinance ManagerAdministrator).

    • Description (optional): Add notes about the role’s responsibilities.

  4. Assign permissions for the role:

 Permissions Explained:

    • Full Access:Full Access provides unrestricted control over the specified resources. Users with this permission can perform all actions, including viewing, creating, updating, archiving, and deleting. This permission is typically granted to administrators or those responsible for managing and maintaining the resources.

    • View Any: The View Any permission allows users to see the list of the specified resources without making any changes or viewing full details. This read-only access is helpful for users who need to review information but do not require editing capabilities.

    • View: The View permission allows users to see the details and content of the specified resources without making any changes. This read-only access is helpful for users who need to review information but do not require editing capabilities.

    • Create: This permission allows users to create new resources, duplicate existing ones, and specifically, approve athletes who have registered online and are in the pending list.

    • Update: The Update permission empowers users to modify or update the content and details of existing resources within the specified scope. It allows users to make changes to records or items as needed.

    • Archive: The Archive permission allows users to manage the status of resources by archiving them, typically marking them as inactive or no longer in use, while retaining historical records. This permission also permits users to reverse this process, making archived resources active again.

    • Delete: Delete permission provides users with the ability to permanently remove resources from the system. This action should be used cautiously, as deleted items are usually irrecoverable and can result in data loss.

Example:

  • Role Name: Coach

    • Description: Responsible for training athletes and managing team activities.

  • Permissions: View Any, Create, Update

    • Role Name: Finance Manager

  • Description: Manages financial accounts, invoices, and payments.

    • Permissions: Full Access
